Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to the Ringdose app ("the app"), developed by Almstedt Studio, Sweden. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA), which also applies. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent permitted.

1. Not medical advice

Ringdose is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It does not calculate doses, check interactions, diagnose or recommend treatment. Always follow the instructions from your doctor, pharmacist or the package leaflet. If you are unsure about a dose or have missed one, contact a healthcare professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

2. Reminders can fail

Ringdose relies on your device’s notification and alarm system. Reminders may be delayed or not delivered if, for example, notifications or alarms are turned off, the phone is switched off or out of battery, the time zone or clock changes, or the operating system restricts the app. Do not rely on Ringdose as your only safeguard for medication that is critical to your health.

3. Your data

Your data is stored on your device and is your responsibility, including keeping a backup. See the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Ringdose Pro and subscriptions

  • Ringdose is free to download. Some features require Ringdose Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription. The options are shown in the app before you buy.
  • The 14-day Pro trial in the app starts the first time you open Ringdose. It is not a subscription, needs no purchase or payment details, and never leads to a charge. When it ends, Pro features are locked unless you subscribe; your data stays and your reminders keep working.
  • Prices are shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play before you buy, in your local currency.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • If the App Store or Google Play offers a free trial for a subscription, the subscription starts and you are charged when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
  • If Pro ends, your data stays. Medications with alarm mode fall back to ordinary reminders. Reminders never stop because a subscription ended.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, and to help people you care for. You may not reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app.

6. Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Almstedt Studio is not liable for any harm arising from missed, late or incorrect reminders, from data loss, or from decisions made based on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Consumers in the EU keep the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
